In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:

which was considered on 17 December 2004, for the reasons set out below.

Reasons For Refusal:
- The proposed door is not considered traditional in appearance and would as a result detract from the character and appearance of the Conservation Area.
NOTE This applicant is encouraged to consider the installation of a four panelled door, the top two panels of which may be glazed. Traditional doors are available in a range of materials including coloured uPVC. Further advice on door styles and materials is available from the Conservation Section.
NOTE This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
