Officer's Report
3 West View is in the Peel Conservation Area. The property has a mix of uPVC casement and timber framed sliding sash windows.
Timber framed casement windows were refused under PA 04/335 but the applicant was advised that it may be possible to renovate the windows and that grant assistance would be available.
The applicant now seeks to install uPVC sliding sash windows, which complies with the existing guidance despite the non-traditional material. The dwelling, nor the terrace are considered important enough to insist on timber frames.
