Officer's Report
Approval was granted under PA 02/669 for the use of 3 Mona Street for tourist accommodation. It had previously been used as a chiropody surgery as well as living accommodation. It is now proposed to use the premises as a permanent residential unit.
The Highway's Division has recommended refusal because of the lack of car parking but this is judged to be unreasonable given that the all the other dwellings in the terrace are in a similar situation. There is no evidence to suggest that permanent residential will generate any greater amount of traffic than a tourist unit or for that matter a residential flat and a chiropody surgery.
