Reasons For Refusal
Application Ref No: 03/01421/B On Review
- The Planning Committee considers that the operation of the extraction unit in the position of the design proposed, would result in a noise and odour nuisance for the residents living close to the site, particularly 18 and 18a Michael Street, to the detriment of residential amenity.
NOTE The Planning Committee has noted that part of the extraction unit has already been put in place. This must be removed within 3 months of the date that the decision becomes final in accordance with the letter which accompanies this decision notice.
NOTE The applicant is encouraged to discuss alternative siting, and mitigation measures for noise and odour control with the Environmental Health Section before the submission of any application in the future.
NOTE This review has been considered by the Planning Committee on written evidence. Any additional submissions not previously circulated to interested parties are enclosed herewith.
