Application No: 03 1191 ### Planning Report and Recommendations #### General Report Site Visited (YES/NO) The property is not an existing cottage situated towards the middle of mines located on the western side. It is a semi-detached house, the other half of the pair is not detached as the windows have been altered. Some time ago to provide a bowl at ground floor and top third arements were replaced in 1999 with half ad half arements (A$ 99.110.18), which were an improvement on the existing but not sliding sash as would have been the originals. The proposed windows would appear to match the new ones next door. The issue here is whether the new windows should match the neighbourhood or be true to the originals, or what we would guess are the original style. SEC 9.10.05 The windows in the site half of the semi-detached arements and are quite well detailed. However, sliding sashes would undoubtedly be preferable but would not be considered.
