Is a former registered nurse, midwife, health visitor, medical researcher and management consultant. Her long experience working within the National Health Service, the private sector and other medical and financial environments, places her in an excellent position to assess and advise when the numerous benefits of lifestyle changes and complementary therapies, such as metaphysical counselling, may be most appropriate.
Daphne believes that as metaphysical counselling is an holistic/spiritual therapy, it is ideal for those who want to benefit from taking more control over their lives, no matter how busy or fraught they may be. Many people today have learnt about metaphysics from best-selling metaphysical authors such as Louise Hay, Diana Cooper, Susan Jeffers and Gill Edwards. All agree that when we learn how to use the laws and principles of Universal Energy constructively, we can thrive.
A law graduate, she has written and broadcast on primary healthcare and lifestyle issues and is a full-time practising metaphysical practitioner and counsellor. She is also currently writing a book about metaphysics.

Metaphysics is a philosophy which maintains that we live in a Universe of Infinite Intelligence. Further, it is the specific understanding of the way Universal Energy flows in our world, and therefore, in our lives. By acknowledging that there are recognised Universal laws and principles always operating to help us live our fullest lives, we are able to appreciate that our Spiritual Nature is one of total harmony and at One with this Intelligence.
Metaphysical counselling is an internationallyrecognised holistic counselling therapy which can help individuals identify and subsequently understand the mistaken beliefs and thought patterns which may be preventing them from fulfilling their highest potential. Counsellors are trained to uncover these imbalances and thus aid restoration of the natural equilibrium. A very practical therapy, many have found that the techniques taught during sessions can be used to make life far easier for them - not just for the present - but for the rest of their lives.
If we do not understand the Universal laws and principles that revolve around the Oneness and total harmony principle, we may be accidentally creating stress and struggle for ourselves. When we are out of alignment with the truth of who we really are, it is inevitable that we will go on to expenence conflict and difficulties.
The ever-changing demands and challenges of today's world can very often result in our forgetting to consider one very important person ourselves.
This does not mean we should be selfish but in fact self-aware. When we help ourselves, we empower ourselves. When we feel personally powerful, life can take on a new meaning for us, we feel more confident, energetic and healthy; able and willing to truly enjoy ourselves, face any apparent obstacle and generally get the best from life.
Many of us fail to appreciate that current unhappiness is never directly 'caused' by specific people or events but it might very well result from how we choose to perceive them or react to a situation or set of circumstances.
The recognition that there is always an important life-enhancing lesson in every seemingly 'challenging' situation or difficulty we encounter, is not always easy to acknowledge but once we are able to accept this fact, we can be encouraged to adopt a different, more positive approach to life - one that ensures we maintain our very individual and personal power.
Metaphysics can help people not only to attain inner peace and better physical health but can be used to greatly offset the negative effects of stress-related illnesses, such as anxiety or other emotional difficulties, so prevalent in many of our lives today. A major advantage of metaphysics is that it can be used in combination with other treatments.
The practitioner will ask you a series of questions about your background and life history. This will enable them to establish what kind of belief system is contributing to the difficulty you are currently experiencing. You will be asked what you feel is troubling you and what YOU consider to be the problem. It may be that you don't know what to answer - in which case you just cast your mind back to when you made the decision to seek help - just ask yourself what was going on for you at that time. This will give you important information as to the core issues and will be of great help to the practitioner. At some time during the session you may be asked to close your eyes for a short time to meditate or relax, thus helping you to focus and access the intuitive aspect of your mind which knows the answers
The practitioner will explain to you how the mind works and teach you some of the Universal Laws so you can put them into practice and begin transforming your life. At times you may be in touch with your feelings but this is all part of the healing process. If at any time you don't feel comfortable with the questions or inner work, you can simply inform the practitioner and alternative ways of helping you can be used. During or following a metaphysical session, you may be given a short written statement to repeat to yourself between each visit which people generally find beneficial.
