Key concern: inadequate visibility splay for access adjacent to church
Department of Transport Highways Division
ObjectionIn the absence of information to the contrary, it is assumed that the proposed access would be adjacent to the Church. In that case there is inadequate visibility for emerging vehicles in the direction of Ballaugh, contrary to the interests of road safety.; there is inadequate visibility in the direction of Ballaugh, due to the location of the access immediately adjacent to the church property.
Department of Transport Highways Division
Objectionit is agreed that there is adequate visibility in the direction of Jurby. However, as stated in the Department's letter of objection dated 27 May, there is inadequate visibility in the direction of Ballaugh
Ballaugh Parish Commissioners
Conditional No Objectionreservations as to the proposed overintensive use of the site considering that there will be problems with access to and from the proposed development because the existing access is situated next to a blind and dangerous bend.
