Environment Policy 35
The policy states that within Conservation Areas, the Department will permit only development which would preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the Area, and will ensure that special features contributing to the character and quality are protected against inappropriate development. The officer assessed the window addition against this, finding it a modest alteration not appreciable from public views due to screening by adjacent building, with no detraction from the building or conservation area's appearance.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

This approval relates to the creation of a window in the north elevation of Garey Veg, Main Road, Kirk Michael as shown by REF 1, REF 2, REF 3 and REF 4 all received 6th November 2009.
