General Policy 2
General Policy 2 permits development in accordance with land-use zoning if it respects the site and surroundings (b), does not adversely affect townscape character (c) or local amenities (g). The officer tested the window replacements for impact on the residential character of the terraced property and streetscene, finding them acceptable as similar to existing and improving a poor condition feature. No tensions noted as the site is in a 'Predominantly Residential Use' area per Douglas Local Plan 1998.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
