General Policy 2
General Policy 2 requires development to accord with strategic policies including land use designations. The officer assessed the smoking shelter as compatible with the site's Tourism designation and authorised bar use. The modest structure was found not to harm appearance, character, or amenities, satisfying the policy.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

Do not oppose
Port Erin Commissioners object to the smoking shelter due to its location at the entrance requiring public access through the smoking area and prejudicing level access. Manx Electricity Authority requests contact regarding underground cables and safety documents. Department of Transport Highways does not oppose subject to a condition.
