Dear Miss Callow,
PA 09/1562 Installation of replacement windows and front door, 26 Bowring Road, Ramsey
This property is located in an important architectural area of Ramsey and what is carried out to this property should be undertaken properly given its prominent position on the roadside. The application is confusing in so much that there are two sets of plans marked "Plans as Existing" and none marked "Proposed Plans".
It transpires that one of the "Existing" plans is the proposed plans with very faint shading on the windows to be replaced. The replacement windows should be of the sliding sash variety irrespective of material used. There is nothing on the plan to indicate the method of window opening. Equally there is no detail of the proposed door which is shown the same as the existing by virtue of using the same plan. This is not acceptable and leaves a lot to the applicant/installer's interpretation without any comeback. Further details should be sought.
We therefore object to this application on the grounds of insufficient detail for a proper assessment of the proposals to be made.
Yours truly,
Caseworker
