Housing Policy 15
Housing Policy 15 states that the extension or alteration of existing traditionally styled properties in the countryside will normally only be approved where these respect the proportion, form and appearance of the existing property, with permission only exceptionally for extensions exceeding 50% of existing floorspace (measured externally). The officer assessed the first floor extension and found it respects the proportion, form and appearance of the existing dwelling and proposes significantly less than 50% additional floorspace. No tension or exceptional interpretation was noted.
