1.1 The above application was approved at appeal on 5th June, 2015, subject to a number of conditions, one of which stated the following:
C2 - "No development shall commence until details of the colour and texture of the render on the whole building have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Department. The development shall be carried out in accordance with the approved details.
Reason: In the interest of the character and appearance of the site and the surrounding area."
Proposal
2.1 The agent for the application has provided details in a letter date stamped 28/05/219 for the render confirming that this is to be a "20mm thick smooth finished sand/cement render painted white to match the existing finish".
Recommendation
3.1 It is considered that the proposed smooth render finish would be in keeping with the render finish on the existing building and sufficient enough to satisfy condition 2.
