RECEIVED ON 09 OCT 2013 DEPARTMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE
Dear Sir/Madam,
RE: Proposed Planning application for Hot Food takeaway, on vacant premises. Previously a betting shop.
I wish to apply for planning approval for the aforementioned proposal. The proposal is for the change of use from the current vacant betting shop premises to a new hot food take away.
Our proposed opening hours are in line with all other local takeaway businesses:
4-00pm to 10-00pm Sunday to Thursday 4-00pm to 10-30pm Friday and Saturday
There would be minor alteration required for the refitting of the premises to service the needs of a takeaway. The installation of a cooker, oven together with the extraction, ventilation, counter and back room elements.
In our research into the locality we have identified following elements which may have an impact on the amenity of the locale.
LITTER
The packaging of the take away food has been designed with this in mind. Any food served is packed in containers designed for indoor use only. They are not suitable for eating out of whilst on the street or on a park bench.
There are ample waste bins provided around the locality, however we would be willing to place a waste recpetacle outside the premises too. In addition to this, we would also be carrying out litter patrols on the immediate locality at certain times during open hours.
Noise And Odour Control
Kitchen extraction and ventilation system will be fitted, with a state of the art extraction system that regulates and controls noise and odour nuisance by making use of the following elements:
- Primary and secondary grease filters
- Final bag filter
- Odour control unit with carbon filters
- Internally located fan mounted on anti-vibration mounts
- Accoustic silencer and noise attenuator]
- Dedicated ventilation to maintain a negative pressure in the kitchen
There will also be regular upkeep and maintenance of the above equipment as per manufacturers instructions, to keep it operating smoothly.
By being close to a supermarket, bank with cashpoint and two pubs we do not expect the noise pollution levels to be any higher than they currently are, from vehicles nad persons passing through.
Parking
There is ample parking spaces provided all along Church Street, station road and the promenade. Fly parking would not be an issue with the amount of free parking space available.
Security
We aim to have CCTV fitted on the inside of the take away and externally covering the front area of the shop. We do not envisage any anti-social and crime issues, but will comply with all guidelines given by the relevant authorities.
I trust that all is in order, please do not hesitate to contact me for more information should you require anything further
Many Thanks
