Refusal Notice 10/00369/R
Town and Country Planning Act 1999
Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005
Mr Eric Carey Ballasalla Farm Coast Road Jurby Isle of Man IM7 3AS
In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Infrastructure does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Mr Eric Carey Proposal: Erection of barn, stables, field shelter, earth bank and mobile store together with the formation of access road and hardstanding (Retrospective), at: Field Number 134889 Lezayre Road Glen Tramman Ramsey Isle of Man
which was considered on 8th June 2010, for the reasons set out below.
Date of Issue: 9th June 2010
Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas
Mrs P Faragher Deputy Secretary to the Planning Committee
Reason(S) For Refusal:
- It is considered that the justification for agricultural buildings as proposed on this site has not been adequately proven. Furthermore the isolated position would result in built development encroaching into the open countryside to the detriment of the visual amities of the countryside. Consequently the proposal would be contrary to General Policy 3 and Environmental Policy 2 & 15 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan.
This decision was made by the Senior Planning Officer in accordance with the authority delegated to her under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
