DATE: 23rd June 2010 This report has been compiled to assess the details shown by drawing BH.07.09 received 24th May 2010 in accordance with Condition 5 attached to the above planning approval. Condition 5 stated: "No development shall take place until full details of a landscaping scheme has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Planning Authority. All planting shall be carried out in accordance with the approved details in the first planting and seeding seasons following that first occupation. Any trees or shrub which within 5 years from the completion of the development dies, is removed or becomes seriously damaged or diseased shall be replaced in the next planting season with another of similar size and species unless the planning authority gives written consent to any variation." Condition 5 was attached in order to ensure that the development is sympathetic to the site and the surrounding area. The submitted details are relatively basic showing the retention of an existing hedge and the laying of lawn or decorative gravel to the front of the property. The plan also confirms the residential curtilage of the property. The details are judged to be acceptable to satisfy the requirements of Condition 5.
