PLANNING STATUS AND RELEVANT POLICIES Within the adopted Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2007, the following policies are considered to be relevant in the determination of this application: General Policy 2, paragraph 8.12.1
Assessment
The application site is not within a Conservation Area. The proposal is to replace the existing sliding sash windows with uPVC top opening casement windows. There are already uPVC casement windows within Castlemona Avenue. This proposal will not adversely affect the visual amenities of the street scene. I therefore recommend that planning permission be granted subject to conditions.
