OVERVIEW OF PARKING PROVISION regarding CHANGE OF USE APPLICATION WITH REFERENCE TO COMMERCE HOUSE, BOWRING ROAD, RAMSEY, IM8 2LQ
Commerce House was most recently occupied by LJ Fiduciary Ltd who employed approximately 40 staff members, the majority of employees would drive to work and park in the nearby area as outlined below, namely Station Road Car Park which has no restrictions within the white parking bays. Both of the allocated parking spaces at the rear of the building were also utilised. In comparison Living Hope currently have circa 15 cars arrive for their Sunday services, so we are actually expecting that the change of use will lead to a net reduction in the traffic for the site.
Potential parking for visitors to Commerce House after change of use has been approved would be in the locations outlined on the Location Plan Mapping below.
The space behind Commerce House can accommodate two vehicles, these are located by the back door to the building. Station Road Car Park is located directly opposite Commerce House and there is a suitable crossing provision provided in Parliament Square. Electric charging point spaces and spaces to accommodate disabled drivers, blue badge holders are also located within Station Road Car Park. Further nearby parking is available in the reverse parking bays on the Quay, these are unrestricted on Sunday with a 2hr parking restriction during the week and on a Saturday. Once again, this area is highlighted on the Location Plan Mapping below.
Living Hope undertook a Parking Survey for 4 weeks, Sunday and mid-week within the highlighted areas of the Station Road Car Park and the Quayside area, this has been included with the planning application and is attached below for ease of reference.
