Following an Energy Audit it was found that the thermal insulation of the property was in need of upgrading. The windows were in poor condition and would have needed considerable renovation. We wish to replace the existing frames with the new frames as per Quotation enclosed. The new windows will unify the front appearance which at present consists of a number of differing styles reflecting the differing stages of the house development (please see photograph of front elevation). The existing front door has issues with its frame being fixed into stonework and is prone to sticking and difficulty opening. Several doors in the area have been replaced with a type similar to that proposed .

The casement windows on the rear yard elevation indicated by photographs are in poor condition and single glazed .It is proposed to replace with similar looking double glazed units .

The existing rooflights to the rear elevation (shown in photograph) are proposed to be replaced by double glazed Velux type Heritage units. These will be of similar width but longer as indicated on the enclosed illustration of type.
