The Proposal
The proposal is a change of use from the existing retail area (Class 1.1) to a proposed use of a Children’s play area (class 4.2). In this application, there is no intention to change the existing layout of the first floor and elevations from existing.
The primary entrance from the ground floor is from Lord Street. This will serve the proposal as per the other business situated on the upper floors. Access from Duke Street also allows access through the ground floor unit as well as lift access to the first floor.
Opening hours and staff
The Children’s play area will be open 7 days a week, from 9am to 9pm. The estimated number of staff is to be 5-6 people and the daily number of children to approximately 20-25 per day. As the existing, the proposal does not offer any additional parking and will utilise the existing public parking services situated within the area of the proposed facility.
Consultation
The applicant has made consultation with Daniel Spencer on the 11th of March 2024, prior to this application.
Summary
In summary, the proposal is a change of use from a retail area (Class 1.1) to a Childrens play area (class 4.2), with no alterations to the existing, with parking arrangements to be as existing.
