Proposal
The proposal comprises the creation of a covered infants play area with a colour powder coated steel canopy structure with polycarbonate roof, enabling a currently under utilised external space to provide a safe external play area. The replacement of two windows with two double doors will provide a direct connection between the classroom and external space.
The proposal respects the character of the school in terms of scale with a subservient, simple form and design, matching in pattern and material the other doors on the same elevation and other canopies within the school.
All proposed elements are at the rear or rear side of the property, screened from neighbouring properties by established hedging and trees and therefore outside of public vantage points and of limited visual impact.
