C : Conditions for approval N : Notes attached to conditions C 1. The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice.
Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
This decision relates to the installation of a door as shown in the drawings ref 4 and ref 5 in the property defined in the submitted location plan, all received on 26th November, 2018. _______________________________________________________________
Officer’s Report THE SITE
1.1 The site is a mid terraced dwelling with three storeys of accommodation, situated on the eastern side of Bridge Street. The property has buildings which are lower on each side and has sliding sash windows with a Georgian pane formed from externally expressed glazing bars, all framed in uPVC. The door is a relatively modern one with six square panels in the lowest third with nine small bevelled glass panes above. There is a rectangular fanlight above but no sidelights or any particular detailing. THE PROPOSAL - 2.1 Proposed is the replacement of the door with a wood effect composite door (colours to choose from being white, dark green, dark blue or red) with six panels, although the drawings shows four panels, two smaller beneath the door handle and two longer above.
5.2 Peel Town Commissioners have no objection (13.12.18). ASSESSMENT - 6.1 The door is simple and of an appropriate form with a traditional layout of panels and not dissimilar to other doors within the streetscene. It is not considered necessary to control the colour of the door as a timber door could be painted any colour without planning approval. CONCLUSION - 7.1 The proposal complies with the necessary policies and is supported. INTERESTED PERSON STATUS - 8.1 By virtue of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No 2) Order 2013 Article 6(4), the following persons are automatically interested persons:
