Appendix A

As part of the service we offer our clients, Professional Lighting Design Limited follow best practise methods and guidelines issued by the Charted Institute of Building Services Engineers, the Institute of Lighting Professional and the Professional Lighting Design Association.

Regarding the project Kestrel Insurance, Main Road, Onchan below are the two relevant tables of information.

Lighting Classification

The table below (1.1) is produced by the Institution of Lighting Professionals and is contained with their Guidance Notes for the Reduction of Light Pollution, 2000. This demonstrates the parameters for identifying and understanding an identified area as an Environmental Zone.

Lighting Technical Parameters for Signs

The table below (1.2) is identifies the recommended limits for the average luminance for self-luminance signs, as published by the Institution of Lighting Professionals.
