In pursuance of his powers under the above Acts and Order the MINISTER for Local Government and the Environment, following report by the appointed person, does hereby APPROVE the application by Nunnery Mills Limited - Renovation and alterations for conversion into office accommodation, Nunnery Mills, Old Castletown Road, Douglas, subject to compliance with the conditions or modifications specified on the attached schedule and numbered 1 to 7 inclusive.

- This approval shall expire if not taken up within 2 years of the date on which it first takes effect.
- This approval relates to the drawings received by the Planning Committee on the 10th October, 1994, except in so far as amendment thereof is required by condition (3) of this notice.
- The roof of the "West building" shall be constructed in accordance with the working drawings numbered 1 and 2, which refer to the revised elevations marked Revision A, 1-4 inclusive, submitted to the Inspector at the Appeal Hearing.
- All services must be laid underground.
- No development shall take place until there has been submitted to and approved by the Planning Committee a scheme of landscaping, which shall include indications of all existing trees and hedgerows on the land, and details of any to be retained, together with measures for their protection in the course of development.
- All planting, seeding or turfing comprised in the approved details of landscaping shall be carried out in the first planting and seeding seasons following the occupation of the buildings or the completion of the development, whichever is the sooner, and any trees or plants which within a period of 5 years from the completion of the development die, are removed or become seriously damaged or diseased shall be replaced in the next planting season with others of similar size and species, unless the Planning Committee gives written consent to any variation.
- The proposed car-parking provision must be amended such as to satisfy more closely the standard required by the Douglas Local Plan, i.e. 1 space per 15 sq.m. of office floor space, and an amended plan arising herefrom must be submitted to and approved by the Committee prior to the commencement of any works; this plan must accord with the scheme required by condition 5 above.
NOTE: This approval in so far as it relates to the West Mill Building, is in respect of conversion of the existing fabric only; no approval is hereby implied to the erection of a replacement building.
