Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005
Arch-Tec (IOM) Ltd The Architectural Studio 2nd Floor 20 Duke Street Douglas IM1 2AY
In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Infrastructure does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Mr & Mrs David Sutton Proposal: Erection of a first floor extension over existing garage at: 2 Northcroft Off Malew Street Castletown Isle Of Man IM9 1LT
which was considered on 26th September 2011, for the reasons set out below. Date of Issue: 28th September 2011 Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas
Reason(S) For Refusal:
- The proposal is contrary to General Policy 2 and paragraph 8.12.1 in the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2007, by reasons of the proposed height and roof pitch of the garage which would introduce an unsympathetic feature into the street scene, at odds with the existing dwelling and adversely affecting the visual amenities of the locality.
This decision was made by the Director of Planning and Building Control in accordance with the authority delegated to him under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
