Consultation 1 Dbc
From: Stephen Salter To: DEFA, Planning Subject: Electric Vehicle Charging Points Date: 07 September 2020 10:54:13
Good morning, I am contacting you regarding the recent planning applications for several vehicle charging points along Douglas Promenade. (Planning publication list 04/09/20) We note that the charging points can be either single phase or three phase but the applicant doesn’t state which will be used. Although this is possibly not a material planning concern, Douglas Borough Council would kindly ask if the applicant can clarify the type that will be used. We believe that if 3 phase will be used it will speed the charging process up for electric vehicles which would allow for more vehicles to be charged per charging unit in any 24hr period. Could you kindly raise this point with the applicant for clarity and ask if they would provide further details on this. I look forward to hearing back from you in due course. Kindest regards,
