General Policy 2
General Policy 2 permits development in accordance with land-use zoning if it respects the site and surroundings in siting, scale, design; does not adversely affect character, amenity, highway safety, or traffic flows; and provides safe access. The officer tested visual impact (clauses b, c, g), finding the wall replacement unnoticeable, and highway safety (clause i and h), finding improvements acceptable with Highway Services support. No issues with other clauses like ecology, flooding, or views.
Time limit
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with Article 26 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2019 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
No significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the improvements to access are acceptable.
