Dawn Foster from Unit 35 objects to the retrospective change of use to a vehicle repairs garage due to excessive vehicle movements, safety risks, and parking issues on shared private property.
Key concern: excessive vehicle movements and safety risks on private communal areas without adequate parking or lighting
Dawn Foster (Unit 35, Isle of Man Business Park)
ObjectionI would like to object to the change of use from light industrial dry storage as per the original deeds and approved Planning application for the development to a vehicle repairs garage.; We have to date experienced a large number of vehicle movements (up to 12 a day) on a daily basis 7 days a week on the communal private property for just Unit 33.; I therefore have serious safety considerations as it is difficult to see a black vehicle or a person in dark clothing when there is insufficient illumination. I have already had two near misses.; If Unit 33 activities are going to impact six out of seven units without any consideration or communication as to how this can work, I do not feel this is acceptable to the majority.; I would like to be considered for interested person status as the current business activities are having an impact on my property and business.
Conditions requested: applicant needs to discuss how this could work with other unit holders and the management company before it can be considered
