Key concern: construction traffic disruption and danger on The Promenade
Mrs M E Kelly
ObjectionThe huge amount of traffic required to go down The Promenade to carry out the construction or road making will go past my house. This will create a real disturbance and danger on an already busy road; the only visible thing necessary from the construction would be one door – the rest could be set back into the bank and turfed over. This is not shown on the present plan; If we have to have a lamp to house the vents could it be painted green which would be in keeping with the rural conservation area
Conditions requested: work better carried out in winter months; set rest back into bank and turfed over; lamp painted green to be in keeping with rural conservation area
Constance Holt
Objectionconcrete lorries will be going up and down the main street of Port St. Mary for up to 12 months; a method should be found of Towing or bringing on barges, the concrete tanks; I certainly do not want to face up to a year's noise, disruption etc.
Conditions requested: arrange larger better prepared meeting for residents; consult all residents on route; explore and cost method of towing or bringing concrete tanks by barges

ObjectionThe huge amount of traffic required to go down The Promenade to carry out the construction or road making will go past my house; the consultant at the public meeting said only a door would be visible
Conditions requested: set back into the bank and turfed over; lamps housing vents in keeping with rural conservation area
