TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1999 The Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure)(No 2) Order 2013
In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act, and subordinate Orders and Regulations, the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture determined to APPROVE an application by The Salvation Army, Ref 19/01422/C, for the Change of use of existing storage area, drivers mess and managers office to additional offices, lounge and general purpose room at British Red Cross Building Isle Of Man Business Park Douglas Isle Of Man IM2 2QZ and subject to compliance with the following condition(s) and notes (if any):
- 1. The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice.
Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
- 2. The use hereby approved shall only be in accordance with the details set out in the Supporting Sheet and Floor Plans date stamped as having been recieved 20.12.19.
Reason: The development hereby approved is only acceptable in this location because of the special circumstances of the proposal.
This approval relates to the following plans/information all date stamped as having been received 20.12.19:
- - Site and Location Plans;
- - Floor Plans (Ground and 1st Floor); and
- - Supporting Sheet.
This decision has been made for the following reasons(s) The overall proposed use is not significantly different from the existing use and it is noted that there is a mix of interlinked uses on the site and the unique operational requirements of the applicant may mean that finding a more centrally located site may be difficult. It is therefore considered that cumulatively the proposal is acceptable.

This decision was made by the Planning Committee in accordance with the authority delegated to it.

This decision refers only to that applied for under the Town and Country Planning Act 1999 and its subordinate legislation.
Any appeal against this decision must be in accordance with the criteria stated in the Order, specifically, a valid appeal must be in writing, signed by the appellant, and submitted to the Department within 21 days of the date of this Notice. To further validate the appeal it must contain:
payment of a planning appeal fee as prescribed in the current Fees Order; the reasons for making the appeal; and an election to have the appeal conducted by means of an inquiry (a hearing) or by means of written representation.

If no valid appeal is lodged within 21 days of the date of issue overleaf, and this decision becomes final, the Department’s public reference copy (counter copy) of the planning application may be collected by the applicant or their agent from Murray House.
