Re: Planning Application for 46 No. Temporary Car Parking Spaces \& 2 no. Self-service Car Washing Facilities: <br> Former Clover Asphalt Depot, South Quay, Douglas, Isle of Man
Please find enclosed 4 no. copies of the required Planning Application, Land ownership Certificate, Check List, Fee and Drawings:
JTM-086A-P-00 - Location Plan JTM-086A-P-02 - Proposed Parking \& Car Wash Layout as submission to apply for the temporary use of the Existing 'Residential-Zoned' site for Car parking and self-service car wash. This Application is a request for the re-use of the site as a car park with car washing facilities for a 2-year period and is in addition to the previous Planning Application 16/00371/B.
Further to this Application, please be advised of the following:
- The spaces will be marked out in white painted rectangular segments and ground painted numbers for contract use, whilst the areas of 'No parking' and the 'Car wash zones' will be painted white outlined and have no numbers on them. The area will be open space with Car Wash Machines against the existing boundary walls to allow flexibility in manoeuvring vehicles around the site
The boundary fence will be antique pine hit and miss panels (see example enclosed) at approximately 1800 mm high to allow the be obscured from view.
Consultancy Design Planning Management Build
- A definite ingress and egress point at the existing dropped kerb point has been maintained
- The car park will be let on a contract basis and therefore is usable by the Contracted parties 7 days a week at any time
- The car wash business is self-service so can be used by the Contracted parties or the general public at 8-4pm in Winter and 7-9pm in summer. The operation will be monitored and secured during these hours by the Applicant or a responsible person delegated by the Applicant. If these operation times change, then the Planning Office will be duly notified
- The 'Temporary period' for the use of the site as a Car Park and Car wash will be a minimum 2 years
